Innzone Ltd has been appointed distributor of the Royal Mint London 2012 sports collection. The Royal Mint has chosen Innzone as their exclusive distributor to the CTN sector because they believe Innzone can have the most powerful impact with the UK’s 30,000 independent CTNs and Post Offices: “Innzone has a proven track record of successfully launching new products to 10s of 1000s of independent retailers. We feel it is vitally important to educate the retailer about the benefits of stocking the Royal Mint’s special sports collection, with a view to these retailers continually stocking Royal Mint product in the future - and Innzone’s impressive sales team, we feel, is best placed to exclusively provide us with that service” said Clare Mitchell, Business Development Manager at the Royal Mint.
With a dedicated £3m marketing spend from the Royal Mint, and 29 different 50p coins for the consumer to collect (representing the 29 Olympic and Paralympic sports), the product will be one of the most sought after collectables of the 2012 London Olympic and Paralympic Games. The London 2012 sports collection was designed as a result of a public competition which generated over 30,000 entries. The winners include a nine-year-old school girl and a 15-year-old school boy - both 'firsts' for the Royal Mint - as well as professional designers. Within the first two months of sales the Royal Mint has sold over 250,000 from their own website. With an exciting new TV campaign starting February 2011, sales are expected to soar!
Wrapped in official memorable London 2012 packaging, the coins retail at £2.99 and offer retailers a 30% POR margin. Initial order quantity for a retailer is just 80 coins, all supplied in the free Counter-Display-Unit, costing £139.20 + VAT. Official Collector Albums are also available for the consumer with an RRP of £5.99 each.
